New Year Resolution 2015

New Year Resolution is definitely not a very easy task to follow up constantly as it sometimes required consistency and motivation. However, I think that the effort used to create the resolution is a way for showing self improvement. Thus, I would like to share my resolution for 2015.

1. Academic Achievements

An overall average grade for each sub (more than 65% )  so I could do a transfer to full time actuarial science course in third year.

2. Budget Savings and Part time Job

There's always a difference between essentials needs and desire needs. I really hope I could be more discipline in terms of my own finance management. As for part time job, hopefully I could find a suitable one that doesn't affect my studies. Constant CV updates and Job interview preparation is something I need to work more on.

3. Health Management

Like any average teen or young adults, Nutella and bacon has always been my top favourite food essentials. In order to have a much more "balanced" diet, I will try to consume yoghurt, fruits and honey on a daily basis. A complete change for food diet doesn't really works for me. So I guess by adding "more healthy food options" is also a way to improve health and cultivating good daily health diet. Gym has always been my least favourite place to go for. However, like any typical girl, keeping fit is definitely something that I want. Umm.... More like what everyone wants! Therefore, I think for people like me that are lazy to go for gym, there's always an alternative. Doing stretching and some light exercise on yoga mat/ bed I suppose consistently in an appropriate duration of time can also make some difference.

4. Taking part in useful activities

By joining any extra clubs and uni societies that is career related, I hope it would help me build up more interpersonal traits and also add a bit of some colors to my dull university life.

Yea...I guess that's pretty much it! :)

Hogmanay Street Party

Edinburgh's Hogmanay Street Party was listed as one of the top 100 place to go before you die and IT certainly did not dissapoint me. It was held at the one and only princes street which was located at the city centre. I was accompanied by Shona, Louise and Tota, my awesome friends obviously. Haha There are numerous hawker stalls on streets selling steaks, pancakes and many more. It smells so good omg and the queue was expectedly long as well. We head on over to the stage where twin Atlantic was rockin on stage. I really wish I knew them better thou. The band performed so well. Last but not least, I was able to witness the beautiful fireworks for countdown to 2015. The fireworks lasts for about 5 minutes. It's incredibly gorgeous when the night sky is filled with colours popping around. That was something memorable about the event I guess. Well, I do have something I would never want to experience it again which was being squeeze physically like a pancake in the huge crowd. It reminds me of the time I went to the MTV world stage Malaysia in 2013. There were literally zero space between me and the crowd. Even worse, the weather in Malaysia was humid and hot. Eventually, I was soaked up with dirty sweats. But I guess I couldn't blame anyone or anything as concerts are suppose to be like that after all. It brings the spirit up which is a good thing I suppose.

Glasgow Tour and Christmas Eve Pot Luck Party

After two hectic weeks of examination, I finally get to enjoy my 3 weeks christmas break. Yay!  During my first week break, I visited Glasgow. It has the biggest shopping street in Scotland. There are lot's of designer wear outlets including some of my favourites which are urban outfitters, topshop and forever 21. I had such a great time visiting the place with my fellow companions. We had Dim Sum for lunch. I was actually very looking forward to have this Asian cuisine as it has been nearly 3 months since I had a proper Chinese food. So yea...Anyways, we came back to Edinburgh during the night around 8ish I think. Most of us were totally exhausted but I guess the trip was definitely worth experiencing.

On Christmas Eve, my friends and I decided to have a pot luck party in my kitchen. We went groceries shopping in the evening. I swear...most of the cart were filled with alcohols and chips. Talk about health options huh? haha. Basically, each of us cook a meal and then we share the food among ourselves . We played games and had loads of fun. Not forgetting 3/4 rounds of tequila shots. Now that I think about it, the hangover was so awful omggg. After the party, I went over to my friend's house for sleepover. More importantly, I spend the early morning of Christmas MOSTLY in the toilet puking the lungs out of me. It ain't fun at all. Trust me. It feels like something just died in me. But after the awful hangover, I had a pretty good sleep and wake up around 2ish in the afternoon. We had Japanese sushi and hotspot for Christmas dinner. I think it was amazing thou.

On Boxing Day, I had like the best shopping spree ever in my life haha. Sometimes, I feel bad for spending so much money on clothes and stuffs....but ya know...I'm just an ordinary girl ....and when that NEEDS comes out...I had to...so yea haha.

I hope anyone who is reading this now ...have a merry christmas and happy new year! All the best in every aspect. Live life to the fullest. Always improve yourself and live with no regrets. Muacksss

Christmas Market at Princes Street

It's the time of the year that everyone anticipate the most. Christmas is finally around the corner. Woohoo! I went to the Christmas market in the heart of Edinburgh. It is magnificently beautiful. There are loads of stalls selling unique products and not forgetting....awesome cheeseburgers that makes people want more. Well, it makes me want more. Haha

Late Fall in Edinburgh

One month ago before my A-levels results was announced, I never thought that I would have this opportunity to gain admission into Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh. I'm just so glad that all the hard work that I've done has finally paid off. I really appreciate all the help I've got from "dears" to get into this dream uni.

Even though I was absent for the freshers week and another 3 weeks of lecture, I was able to cope up with the study syllabus. Well, I obviously had a mental breakdown on my first day of admission knowing that I will have 2 class test on the following 2 days. I did tried my best. I really did. The results wasn't THAT bad after all haha. Mom even ask me to chillax and brought me tour around the city right before the day of my test. How cool is she huh?! Haha

I definitely felt lonely when I first came to this uni. I didn't know anyone and the uni was like a maze. It was so huge on the inside. I knew that I had to start everything from zero again. Being initiative and independent. I felt like I was going on a huge transition on my first week at uni thou.

I was also glad that my mom's friend, Hui Leng jie jie came to visit us in Edinburgh. She is one of the nicest adult I've ever come across in my entire life and I'm so thankful to know her. She brought us tour around the city during the evening and we had such enjoyable time together. Few places that I personally like was visiting the Roslyn Chapel and The Britannia walk at ocean terminal. I guess I'm just really really into sight seeing stuffs.

My very first photo-shoot

One month ago before the actual day for the Photoshoot trip, I received an unexpected call from a friend who was in my previous high school . He invited me to join this field trip as a model. And the trip happens to be on 2 weeks before my SEM test... I was really worried  at first. But I don't want to miss this opportunity at the same time. So I decided to join the trip(after many deliberation ). I am also really glad that my best friend Angie Chai join the event too... That makes the whole thing more interesting and fun (we had lots of funny and crazy moments together).Basically, I've learn many things in this particular 3 days. There are indeed lots of modelling techniques and skills that I need to improve .Hopefully I will have another opportunity to participate in such a wonderful experience in future. Stay tuned.
